To make these textil Spiral jewels I use organic peace silk ,GOTS certified.
Peace silk or Ahimsa silk is cruelty-free and has all the marvelous quality of its conventional counterpart, minus the violence. This way, these jewels can be both beautiful and ethical!
I start by first hand-painting this fabric and then I roll it up with re-used paper. Lastly I bake in the oven for 5 hours in a mixture of vinegar and water, which then turns into steam. This method fixes the colors and is applied using electricity from renewable sources. The fabric is then air-dried outdoors. Finally, it is time to cut the fabric in strips, which are then rolled up by hand and attached to the bases.

Istruzioni al uso: importante no bagnare i gioielli Spirale in peace silk perchè che il pericolo che la spirale si stacca dalla base. Se dovrebbe succedere è importante di grattare o preforare ( insomma se si stacca sotto alla base e lo strato di colla.Siccome non puo più assorbire non si puo di nuovo incollare!!! Percio è importante di togliere o almeno di creare punti dove la colla puo di nuovo legare il tessuto alla base)
